Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies | Recipe

If you follow me on instagram you'll know I baked the most amazing cookies in the world last Wednesday. So many people we're asking for the recipe so I decided that here was the best place for it.  I found the original recipe here, but had to tweak a few bits due to a few Americanisms and what I created were the BEST COOKIES IN EXISTENCE so here you go..


110g unsalted butter, softened
3 heaped tablespoons of Nutella
100g light brown sugar
55g granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
210g plain flour
2 teaspoons cornflour
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
A pinch of salt
75g white chocolate chips

75g milk chocolate chips
75g dark chocolate chips 

  1. Add the butter, Nutella, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg and vanilla to a large bowl. Using an electric whisk mix on a medium-high speed until the mixture looks creamy.
  2. Then sieve the flour, cornflour, baking soda, salt into the mixture and mix on low speed for about a minute.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then add the white and chocolate chips. Mix again on low speed for about 30 seconds.
  4. Using a a tablespoon make 10 or 11 equal sized mounds of dough. Then roll the mounds into balls and put them a little bit on a baking tray lined with baking paper, at least 2 inches apart.
  5. Cover with cling film and pop them in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat oven to gas mark 4 (180°C ), and then bake for about 13-15 minutes in the centre of the oven. The cookies get a lot bigger as they cook so I only put 4 or 5 per baking tray. 
  7. When the time is up and you take the cookies out of the oven he edges will look set however the rest of the cookie won't. It's very important that you don't put the cookies back in the oven because they will be overcooked. The cookies set more as they cool.
  8. Leave the cookies to cool for about 10 minutes on the baking tray.
  9. Now they're ready to serve!
