Salon International

Last Saturday Hair Philosophers invited me to Salon International (exciting right)! I'd never been to anything like a hair show before so I had absolutely no idea what to expect but I was really looking forward to it.

For those of you who don't know what Salon International is, it's a huge hair exhibition in London where lots of large hair brands as well as smaller up and coming brands get to showcase their products and unveil any new products they might have. You also have the chance to try out and buy lots of products there.

Hair Philosophers launched their new 3 Styler

I was so excited to finally see the unveiled 3 styler and it did not disappoint. There will definitely be a review coming soon!
The Packaging is AMAZING
One of my favourite exhibitions had to be Tangle Teezer. I couldn't resist the pretty display and came home with two shiny new brushes.

Tangle Teezer had an amazing little car on their stand.
There were demonstrations
There were hairbrushes in every shape and colour you can imagine
Aside from hair products there were a lot of beauty products at the show too and at a lot of stands there was the opportunity to try them out. One of my favourites was sparkles lips which were kindly demonstrated on my friend Serena below.

You could choose from a huge variety of of colours but the pinks and reds were definitely my favourite. It was exciting to see a lip product that was a little bit different from generic lip glosses and lipsticks.

I had the best day ever and I'll most definitely be returning next year!

Huge thanks to Hair Philosophers for sponsoring this post!

Bioderma Crealine H2O | Review

It seems like the only cleanser everyones been talking about for the past year and half now is the Bioderma Crealine H2O whether it be good or bad. And although it is available to buy in the UK in some smaller independent pharmacies I am yet to come across it anywhere near me and I’m told it’s relatively expensive.

So, when my parents went on a recent holiday to France I jumped at the opportunity to ask them to bring me back a bottle. And they did better than that, my Mum kindly came back with two (it’s a good job I liked it).  I was so excited to use it for the first time, I don’t actually think I’ve ever been more excited to take off my make up!

First up, the packaging.. I’ll be honest, the bottle is pretty dull and theres nothing outstanding about it. I suppose you can’t judge a book by it’s cover but I do think you could easily mistake a bottle of Bioderma for a bottle of water if your French isn’t quite up to scratch.

The cleanser feels very similar to how it looks - like water - and is very gentle on the skin but somehow manages to remove all your makeup including mascara (admittedly I have yet to try it on waterproof mascara). It also doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or tight which is always a plus.

Saying that, I don’t feel like Bioderma gives your skin a deep cleanse like the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser would but at the same time it does do a much better job than any make up wipes ever could. I think Bioderma is perfect for days that you don’t have time to cleanse properly, or just to use in the morning to remove any oil from your skin that may have built up overnight.

I can’t say it will replace the cleanser I’m currently using (Clarins Water Purifying One-Step Cleanser in case you were wondering) but I would say it’s a permanent addition to my skincare routine and I would definitely recommend it to all of you!
